Forest School

Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a long-term program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.

Forest School Association

We have been pond dipping

Drawing pictures of what we have seen

Helping our friends to build a castle with the

blocks.

Painting using mud paint.

We have been practising our fine motor skills

making magic wands.

Swinging on our homemade swing

We found a very lonely bee,

we fed her and put her in the

butterfly house to keep warm 😍

Using our critical thinking to build climbing frames and hammocks.

Panda Pre-school is developing a Forest School on the site. All children in the setting will have regular opportunities to attend Forest School sessions.  We have done lots of work including planting new trees and hedging and moving earth and chippings to create new areas and pathways. Fitting locks to ensure the site is secure and cannot be accessed without a keyholding adult. Building sheds to become the toilet and tool shed and a large outdoor classroom where we can hold reference resources and use to support our learning.
